In the end Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has started a new postpaid scheme at a price of Rs 499. The new plan provides 45 GB 3G data unlimited voice calls per month and 100 free SMS per day. According to the report of Telecom Talk, this data plan of Rs 499 is excluding taxes and customers have to pay GST in addition to the value of the plan.

Free unlimited voice calls are also applicable for local, STD and roaming. However, after the 45GB FUP, the speed of mobile internet will fall to 40 kbps. This scheme is planned by Reliance Jio at a cost of Rs 509.
BSNL Rs. 499 postpaid plans do not come with data rollover facility which leads to unused data in the next billing cycle. However, the latest scheme is said to include 45 GB monthly data which is more than what you can get from similar money. 499 schemes introduced by Airtel, Vodafone and Idea.
But, of course, the data limit with BSNL scheme is not equal to Rs. 49 9 plan that provides 60 GB data. BSNL plans provide additional voice calling in addition, in which there are not even 100 SMS messages per day along with the monthly FUP limit.
BSNL is soon ready to launch 4G services across India to compete against Airtel and Bio operators. We have already come in several media reports that rollout of BSNL 4G services across the country is a very important step to run the Digital India initiative.
